About Nameless Verse
A place to post poems without your name on them.
How it works
- Anyone can send a poem. You don't need a name or an account. Add a pen name if you'd like one.
- Every poem is checked before it's posted. An AI helper (Claude, made by Anthropic) reads each new poem against the rules and posts the ones that clearly fit. Anything else waits for a person on our mod team. Mods can take any poem down later.
- Readers tap ♥ on poems they love, and people with an account can write back. A mod reads every write-back before it shows.
- Each week there's a prompt to write to, if you want one.
- The most-loved poems rise on the Top page.
What "nameless" means here
Your name is never put on a poem. Poems aren't stored with your name, email address, or IP address. If you send a poem while signed in, it's privately linked to your account so you can see and delete it in My poems. Readers and mods can't see that link.
The words of a posted poem are public. Leave out details that would identify you or anyone else. The privacy page lists everything the site keeps.
The rules
- Only send your own original work.
- No hate, harassment, or writing that targets real people.
- No spam or ads.
- Nothing illegal.
Poems about grief, depression, anger, and other heavy things are welcome. If a posted poem breaks the rules, use the flag at the bottom of it to report it. Reports are anonymous.
If you're struggling
Nameless Verse isn't a crisis service, and mods can't reply to poems. In the US, you can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Who runs it
Nameless Verse is an independent, ad-free project run by a small team of mods. Questions, ideas, or problems: mchimoff@namelessverse.com.
